October in Bataan

Missed a wedding in surprisingly dynamic Balanga (it was positively jumping on a Sunday morning), but I still made it to the beach in Bagac — even if only for a few hours. The familiar beachscape looked different, even rather artificial, because new red tiles had been added, claiming part of the yard. My son met his first crab (at least of the non-human edition); it was sauntering through the open-air restaurant’s pebble-wash flooring. On the way home, I saw that Bataan Death March markers had finally been installed.
